Kohler Ballast 48 x 36-inch Shower Base, Center Drain | K-1935

Ballast combines acrylic with a resin-concrete core for a low-threshold 48 x 36-inch alcove base with a center drain and integral tile-in flange. Designed for mortarless installation.

A shower door with a bottom track is required and sold separately. Using the base without a shower door can cause water damage and hazardous wet conditions. Kohler directs installers to its Fixtures Price Book for the required compatible doors and disclaims problems from other manufacturers’ doors. Confirm door compatibility before ordering.

The specification lists a 107-pound base, 1-7/16-inch minimum flat ledge, 3-3/8-inch drain opening and 12 pounds per square foot minimum floor load. K-9132 drain for plastic pipe is recommended and sold separately. Measure the actual base before rough-in.
