Kohler Rite-Temp Valve Body Rough-In with Loose Service Stops | K-8300-KSL

Rite-Temp rough-in includes a forged dezincification-resistant brass valve body, rough-in guide and test cap. Loose service stops with integral check valves are supplied as an uninstalled kit, ready for sweat connections.

1/2-inch universal NPT and direct-sweat inlets and outlets. Requires a K-8305 series cartridge and compatible trim, sold separately; this rough-in does not include the operating cartridge.

For standard, back-to-back and thin-wall installations. The installed rough-in can be flushed and pressure-tested to 150 psi maximum using air or water with the included test cap and without a cartridge.

Avoid cross-flow conditions: do not install a shut-off device on either valve outlet. Cap the shower outlet if a deck-mount spout, diverter or handshower connects to the spout outlet. For a wall-mount spout, use a straight 7- to 18-inch pipe or tube drop with one elbow. Follow the specification for wall thickness, supports and rough-in cutouts.
