Kohler Rite-Temp Valve Body Rough-In with PEX Crimp Connections | K-8300-PX

Kohler K-8300-PX rough-in includes the forged brass valve body, rough-in guide and test cap. Uses 1/2-inch PEX crimp F1807-style inlets and 1/2-inch universal NPT/direct-sweat outlets.

Requires a K-8305 series cartridge and compatible trim, sold separately. Supports standard, back-to-back and thin-wall installations. The included test cap allows flushing and pressure testing without the cartridge to 150 psi maximum, following official instructions.

Avoid cross-flow: do not install a shutoff device on either outlet. Cap the shower outlet when a deck-mount spout, diverter or handshower connects to the spout outlet. For a wall-mount spout, use a straight 7-to-18-inch pipe or tube drop with one elbow. Follow the specification support-spacing requirements for thicker finished walls.
