Salient is an enameled cast iron base for a 60 x 30-inch alcove with a right-side drain, Safeguard surface and three tile-in flanges.
The specification lists a 193-pound base, 2-1/2-inch minimum flat ledge, 3-3/8-inch drain opening and 40 pounds per square foot minimum floor load. K-9132 drain for plastic pipe is recommended and sold separately.
Measure the actual base before rough-in. The specification identifies a Kohler steam generator/control kit for this base and disclaims problems from other manufacturers’ steam generators. Follow the official installation instructions.
